The Idea Benefit Delivered widget is located on the Idea Performance and Idea Overview page:
Idea Performance
Idea Overview
This widget calculates the Benefit Delivered by subtracting the Forecast value from the Actual benefit of an Idea/Initiative.
These are some of the considerations to take into account with regards to the benefit delivered calculation:
- Whether the benefit calculation of an Idea/Initiative is captured based on VDT or Manual Capture
- A benefit start date exists
- Forecast values have been entered in Idea Forecast
Note: for more information on how to configure an Idea/Initiative for benefit tracking, please see the following article - Idea Benefit Tracking
We will use the following example to explain how the Benefit Delivered is calculated:
- The Annualized Financial Value is captured at R100 000 000
- On Idea Benefit in Grid view, the Forecast value for the month of June is R1 643 835,63. This is the Forecast amount displayed on the Benefit widget (rounded to R2mil)
Note: this amount is calculated by the system if no Idea Forecast values are captured - The Actual Monthly Benefit value is captured on Idea Benefit when you click Actual Monthly Benefit. This is the actual benefit value that appears on the widget
- The difference between the benefit Forecast and benefit Actual is the Benefit delivered.
